More and more people wish to submit Adobe Acrobat high resolution PDF files for printing. To ensure the desired printed outcome is achieved, there are specific file settings that Sundog recommends. To make things simple, we have created a file that contains all of our preferences and settings that you can download and save on your workstation.

Once you have downloaded the file named sundog.joboption, save it to the location specified below.

You’re done! These settings are now part of your dropdown toolbar in Acrobat. When you are preparing a PDF for Sundog, select the Sundog Settings option, and automatically the formatting will be set to Sundog preferences.

Exact proofing
At Sundog, we proof exactly what we print, generating your proofs from the same file formats, technology and equipment that we use to image the plates for printing. You see an accurate representation of what will come off press, and can make any corrections before hand – saving cost, time and disappointment.


On-site ink lab
You also command colour at using Sundog’s Colour Perfect System. As one of the few printers in Canada with an on-site independent ink specialist and mixing station ink laboratory, we offer custom ink colour creation/preparation, troubleshooting and immediate consultation with our on-site ink specialists. We provide professional ink draw-downs on the stock you are printing on so you can confidently assess colour before being live on press, and all colour usage and mixing notes formulas are kept on in our database for future reference.
